日本橋のデパ地下にて、義母の好きそうな和菓子を探しまして、ブランド品を漁りますと、あ此処だとピンと来たのが、「あも」の文字。滋賀発祥の歴史を感じる和菓子ですが、柵である点に躊躇しつつも、賞味期限３週間以上で、決断し、良く見ると、「あも栗」1300円消費税別があります。季節感に、期間限定（8月～1月）を感じ、栗にします。一時間程冷蔵庫が良いとの指示書きがあり、冷やして頂きますと、大納言小豆の餡で、栗入りの羽二重餅を覆った「あも」は、伝統の味だと思います。パンフに拠りますと、栗にまぶした塩は、フランスのゲランドだそうです。
