Choboya carefully selects ingredients and seasonings that Kyoto people love, and only uses ingredients that we can recommend with confidence, saying, ``This is the only one available at this restaurant!'' |
I never thought I would be able to see Shoki-sama, who is stronger than demons, on the roof of a shop near my office. There is also a stylish tiled roof lantern next to Shoki-sama. I've passed by this store dozens of times, maybe more than 100 times... I didn't notice it until recently! Lol This shop is less than 5 minutes walk from Kyobashi Station and Takaracho Station. Nearby is the famous Japanese Confectionery Momoroku, and if you walk in the direction of Nihonbashi, you will find Japanese Confectionery Tsubameya in a few minutes. But according to people who know it, it's a business district. This store is located in such a place. The name of the shop is "Chaboya". Actually, it seems to be written as "ゝや". It is written on the roof tile lantern. How cool is this store? I arrived at the store around 12:20 on a rainy Wednesday in March. Waiting for 1 person. Waited about 5 minutes before entering the store. The lunch menu mainly consists of udon and curry. The most popular item is the ``Meat sweet fox Curry Udon'' (950 yen), which comes with rice and Kyoto pickles. I chose "Beef Meshi and Sweet Curry Udon" (1000 yen). The dish arrived in about 5 minutes with a small salad and Kyoto pickles. Now, let's start with Curry Udon. What an elegant taste. The noodles are soft. The curry soup is flavored with dashi stock and spices. The fried rice is also sweet and delicious. The onions, cut into slightly larger pieces and stewed, balance out the sweetness and crunchiness. Very elegant. There is a tempura for Curry Udon on the table. This is also a good accent. Beef rice is also delicious! The meat has the sweetness of mirin, not the sweetness of sugar. Soft and sufficient quantity. This was delicious on its own, but I ended up wanting the most popular item, the ``meat-sweet fox curry.'' There is a large rake on the pillar in the middle of the shop. After all, this store is stylish. Sorry to bother you again. Thank you for the meal.
