ランチはいろいろ付いてお得感がありますがカレーもライスも小さい椀に入ってくるので量は多すぎず丁度いい。あまりの美味しさに食欲増進。
日替わりカレーは辛さの違う3種から選びますが、一番辛いのはマトンカレーだったのでパス。中辛のチキンカレーと甘口のひき肉と野菜ねカレーにしました。
サンバル、ラッサム、ドーサ、パバドなど聞いたことのない名前。友人達に聞いたところ、それぞれスパイスの効いたスープやタルタルソースみたいな付け合わせ、パリパリのナンみたいな煎餅、クルクル巻かれたクレープ…
とにかく千切ったり混ぜたりして食べるのだそう。それがなんだかとても自由で楽しい、味変ができてあれこれ食べているうちに完食しました。
店内はテーブル席が50席くらいあるでしょうか。広々してはいませんがキャパはまあまあありそう。土地柄、ビジネスマン、ウーマンが多かったです。タイミングが悪かったのか、大人数で来店したグループがいて1人ずつ会計されレジに大行列となったのには参りましたが…八重洲あるあるなのでしょうかね。しかしそれほどの人気店であるのは味と雰囲気の良さからよく分かりました。食後の口もニンニクなどのイヤな匂いがなく体に良い食事をした後の活力が湧くような気分で大満足でした。
