[5 mins from Tokyo Station/1 mins from Nihonbashi] Yakitori/All-you-can-drink/Kyushu cuisine izakaya for adults
Kyushu cuisine izakaya that adults can enjoy ■Space■ [Maximum 45 people in tatami room] Spacious and relaxing [Private room] We have private rooms to suit the occasion! ■Carefully selected ingredients |
Before going back home, we had a year-end party with my high school classmates. The organizer made a reservation for us at "Hakata Dojo" near Tokyo Station. I wonder how long it's been since I've been drinking so close to Tokyo Station? It's on the second basement floor of the Yaesu Building, but the flashy exterior makes it hard to get lost, which is a good thing. The inside of the restaurant is like Izakaya (Japanese-style bar), but it's a big box with a small space. I don't know the whole picture, but it can probably fit 100 people. There are tables and tatami rooms, but we were shown to a table seat. It's not relaxing. We each ordered drinks and toasted to our long-awaited reunion. I started off with a Premium Malt's draft beer for 682 yen, followed by a Kaku Highball for 539 yen and a red wine for 572 yen. The prices are probably normal for alcohol. It was busy, so the service was a little slow. The appetizer, satsumaage, went well with beer, but the food we ordered was mixed. What I liked was the Hakata specialty Yamitsuki Iron Pot Gyoza / Dumpling for 979 yen and the Hakata Yamitsuki Motsu-nabe (Offal hotpot) for 1,727 yen. Gyoza / Dumpling was piping hot on the iron plate. The outside is crispy and the filling is juicy. It's nice that it's large and you can eat it whole. Motsu-nabe (Offal hotpot) is reasonably priced, but it comes with plenty of tripe, cabbage, and mizuna. The pork bone soup with garlic and soft tripe is delicious. Of course, Champon noodles are also a good choice for the final course. What I thought was not so great was the 5-piece sashimi platter for 2,420 yen and the red cherry meat delivered from Kumamoto for 1,529 yen. I was surprised at the appearance of the sashimi and cherry meat for this amount and the quality was not good when I tried it. The horse sashimi in particular was disappointing, considering that it calls itself a Kyushu cuisine Izakaya (Japanese-style bar). Even I know better horse sashimi. And the Hakata tonkotsu Ramen that several people ordered, which I didn't eat, was 803 yen. No, no, no, is it half size? I don't know the taste. It can't be helped because it's a big restaurant, but the atmosphere is unsettling. The service is slow. And above all, the food is expensive. It may be because of the location. So I don't think I'll be using it myself. Thank you for the meal.
