日本橋近くで用事があったので、たまには柄にもなくガレットでも食べたいね、と友人と意気投合。
はてさて、この辺りに美味しいガレット はあるのやら？と食べログを検索。
日本橋高島屋新館6階にどうやらガレットやらオムライスを食べられる「ピコティピコタ」という店があるのを見つけた。13時過ぎ、店に到着。可愛らしい外観、スッキリした店内。
僕らはビルの中ではありながら、テラス席的な場所に座るように誘導される。
お水が運ばれて来てから注文取りにはなかなか来てもらえず、ちょっとジリジリ…。
ほとんどの客は「オムライス」を食べていて、…んん？ここでガレット を食べるのは冒険かな？と思いつつ初志貫徹。
僕はスープ付きのセット「コンプレットベーコン（税込1500円）」、＋200円追加してオプションにホットコーヒーをオーダー。
友人は生ハムの入ったその名もそのままのガレットの「生ハム(税込1600円)」とコーヒーをオーダー。
セットのスープはコンソメ？…なんだか鶏スープの匂いはするがちょっと豚脂のようなやや臭みがある。スープはぬるめ…、ちょっと僕の好みではなく、飲むのを諦めた。
気を取り直してガレット へ。
チーズの掛かったサニーレタスをまずはいただき、いよいよガレット生地へ。外側のパリパリサクサク生地から食べ始める。んんん？予想外にやや甘い生地。おそらく蕎麦粉なのだろうけど、クレープ生地じゃないの？と一瞬思ってしまった…。
生地全体を卵の白身が覆っている。さすがに玉子をウリにした店だからか。
ベーコンのお味は普通かな。黄身の部分を割って生地と一緒にいただき、お腹に入れて終了。
コーヒーは普通に美味しい。
あとで調べて分かったが、この店、株式会社リン・クルーグループの一員。
このグループはJR博多シティにある『グリル大宮』、お好み焼き鉄板焼きの『こて吉」、有楽町イトシアや新宿高島屋タイムズスクエア店にある『Moana kitchen cafe』なども運営しているグループ。
カジュアルなお店の展開が上手なのかな…。
友人同士でお喋りしながら食事してくつろぐには良いお店っぽい。
きっちり食に重きを置いて食べよう！と思って行く僕はダメなんだな、…また反省…。
