Fascinating spices x Bistro cuisine ◆Casual Bistro run by the Michelin restaurant "Bangera's" in Ginza
French cuisine, Italian Cuisine, Mexican, etc... The infinite possibilities of spices and the fusion of international cuisine will invite you to a food experience you have never seen before. Bangera's |
The shop is located on the first floor of a multi-tenant building located in an alley off Kajibashi Street in Hatchobori 4-chome. It's a small restaurant, but it's said to be a sister restaurant to Bangera's Kitchen, a restaurant in Ginza that specializes in Mangalore cuisine, the gourmet town of South India. Well, today is the year 2023, and I am finishing up my lunch at Hatchobori. I ordered chicken biryani (1450 yen including tax). Biryani is Indian cooked rice, and is said to be one of the ``three major seasoned rices in the world,'' along with Japan's matsutake rice and Spain's paella. It was my first time to experience such biryani. Made with India's finest basmati rice, it is mildly spicy and seasoned with a complex mix of spices, giving it an impressively smooth texture.I can't describe it properly, but you can enjoy a deep flavor. It was also served with unsweetened plain yogurt (called ``raita'') containing cucumbers, etc., and a fragrant curry, which I enjoyed along with the chicken curry on basmati rice, with a deformed taste. The biryani had the impression of being an ordinary, delicious Ethnic Cuisine dish, but I was surprised at how light the seasoning was, and subconsciously thought it would have a punchier flavor. We have to be a little careful about unconscious bias. Thank you for the meal!
