11時少し前に訪問したところ張り紙があり、他に行くことも考えたが、車の中で少し時間を潰して待つことに。
で、11時12分頃に行くと、先客1、後客5で11時16分に開店。
名物というか、有名なオリジナリティ満点のカツ丼1,400円を注文。
昔ながらの玉子綴じでもなく、昨今のうっすらピンクな肉のカツ丼や肉厚のカツ丼とは一線を画したタイプ。
小さめのとんかつをソースに浸し(ようはソースカツ)、丼に敷き詰め、半熟の目玉焼きを載せて、味付けされ賽の目に切られた主に根菜が散りばめられている。
美味しいかもしれないけど、カツ丼食べたい！と思って選択するカツ丼ではなく、明治45年創業の歴史を楽しむ店という感じ。
床はオイルミストでぬるぬる、滑りコケそうなレベル。
