「人形町で最も愛されるピッツァリア」
人形町のメイン通りといえば甘酒横丁。
情緒豊かな街並みでどこか懐かしい雰囲気のある通りだ。
横丁の名にふさわしいような老舗の建物が並びます。
ここ甘酒横丁に店を構える『ピッツア ダ バッボ』。
老舗の和の店の中でピッツァリアは一際目立つが、目立つ理由は見た目だけではない。
休日になれば家族やカップルが賑やかに席を埋め尽くす。
入り口付近の可愛らしいジェラートのショーケースは、いつでも子供をワクワクさせている。
その中には「甘酒」味がある。甘酒横丁の住民として見事にアジャストしているようだ。
店の奥の薪窯では次々にピザが焼き上げられる。注文したのは「ナポレターナ」。
モッツァレラ、バジル、トマトソースのマルゲリータにアンチョビを加えたようなピッツァ。
ふんわりした外側と薄めの内側の生地。適度な焦げが香ばしさも含めて完全に好み。
少々アンチョビが塩辛さが強いきらいもあるが、これなら他の上物にも期待ができそうだ。
パスタにもチャレンジ。
「サバのスモークとドライトマト、ルッコラのオイルソース スパゲティー」
わりとあっさりしたオイルソースのスパゲティーだが、鯖の燻製香が全体の味付けを手伝う。
少し柔らかめの茹で具合だが、パスタ単体のレベルも十分に高い。
