こじんまりとしたこちらの食事処。以前から気になっていたところ、ようやくお昼に訪問できた。間口の狭い小さなお店だが、２階もあるようだ。１階奥のテーブルで相席になる。
定食のお値段は良心的。いろいろあって迷うが、鰯天ぷら定食800円に、小鉢のおひたし100円を注文する。
程なくして配膳される。天ぷらは卓上の醤油で食べてください、とのこと。天つゆがつかないのも大衆食堂っぽい。たっぷりと大根おろしが付いているので、これに醤油をかけて天ぷらにつけていただく。
鰯は揚げたてでふんわりしていて旨い。生臭さはないし、気になる小骨もない。青魚のクセには、天つゆよりもむしろこのおろし醤油が合う。これは箸が進む。また、箸休めに小鉢をつけたのも正解だ。時折挟むシャキッとした茹で加減の青菜が口に心地よい。他にもきんぴらやひじきなんて嬉しい小鉢もあるので、ここは飽きないな。
女将さんの柔らかな接客も心地よく、今後も通ってしまいそうだ。
