今週も週末金曜日の“カレーの日”を迎え、やってきたのは「hachi」というお店
こちら、本業は夜の部のいわゆるバル営業のようだけれど、緊急事態宣言下でも、テイクアウトにシフトしつつランチ営業を続けていたのを横目で見てきたお店です
もちろんイートインもOKということで、カウンター席に着くなり私がオーダーしたのは、あらかじめこれと決めていた「スパイシーチキンカレー(800円)」
せっかくだから「サラダ(100円)」も添えてもらうとします
座った席の背後は扉全開の完全なオープンエアー
初夏ということでだいぶん暑くなってはきているけれど、まだこの季節には開放的で気持ちがいいし、なによりもコロナ対策としては万全です
で、ややあってやってきた「スパイシーチキンカレー」と「サラダ」
いただこうとすると、箸が割箸なのはまあいいとして、スプーンがテイクアウト用のプラスチックスプーンとはさすがにちょっと気分が壊れるなぁ
…と思いつつ、気を取り直していただいてみれば、ベースはスパイスが効いていて完全にエスニックに振り切った味のカレーだけれど、具のチキンがごろごろ入っているのが嬉しい
もともとそういう組み合わせを想定して作ってはいないのだろうけれど、これならカツだの唐揚げだのといったトッピングは無用だな
うん
今週の“カレーの日”はまずまずのアタリでしたね
