午前中、営業に出かけてランチで入店。午後イチも近所に訪問予定があったので、コーヒー込みで長居できる店を探したが、しっくり来る店が見つからず。安く早く昼食を済ませ、安カフェに入ることに。
居酒屋なのか専門店なのか分からないまま入ると、ランチは食券制の様子。他にも種類があったようだが、迷わず親子丼800円。大盛も同額なのは嬉しい。
カウンターに座ると、早速湯呑に入ったお吸い物と、細かく刻んだ漬物が運ばれてきた。うん、何だが良さそう。しばらく待つと、フタのついた器で親子丼も。
径の広い漆器に盛られた親子丼は卵トロトロ、三葉も載っていてザ・王道といった感じ。これは期待が持てる。七味を振って、いざ一口。
…甘め。好みもあるのでそれはいいのだが、うーん…あまり味に深みがない。鶏肉も、これまた深みや弾力がない。下ごしらえをせず、そのままツユで煮た感じだ。隣の駅に行けば有名な親子丼があるだけに、ちょっと期待外れ。
12時を少し回った頃に店を出る。ランチタイム真っ盛りだが、座席が埋まることはなかった。見た目は一級品なので、下ごしらえさえもう少し何とかすれば、一気に化けそうな気がする。今後の努力に期待。
