ごく普通の大衆居酒屋であり、ラーメンというイメージがあまり沸かないが店舗、時期限定で提供されるのが麻婆麺。
単純にラーメンに麻婆豆腐のソースが上に乗っただけではない。
受け皿には既に滴り落ち、見るからに辛そうな深紅のスープ。この蒸し夏に火を噴いてしまいそうな程に辛そうに見えるが、いざ食べてみると軽めのスパイシーさに、山椒も舌が痺れるほどでもなく、時々実に当たる程度の程よさ。
そして豆腐とひき肉を掻き分けるように食べ進めばやっと太麺の登場。
円錐型で底深い器にたっぷり入り、大盛にしたら休憩時間内に戻るにはちょっと難しいほどのボリューム。
好みで米油ベースの花山椒油を足せば、山椒の香が引き立つ。
オーダーから運ばれるまで少し時間を要すが、このボリュームと味わいであれば納得の手間のかかりようである。
