水天宮前駅から徒歩３分、人形町駅から徒歩４分、新大橋通りから大門通りを甘酒横丁方面に進み一つ目の交差点を過ぎて程ない所に２０２０年オープンした餃子満彩。
以前はなごみやがあった所。
昼食で利用。
メインルートではないもののそこそこの交通量がある通り沿いにある店。看板には「手包み餃子」の文字が踊り店名は小さく書かれているに過ぎない。暖簾にはメニュー名が記されている。この看板と暖簾が目を惹くので視認性は高い。
店内はこじんまりとしているものの、奥に細長く意外にキャパシティがある。席はテーブル席のみで、手前側にテーブル席が4人用5卓と2人用1卓、奥右手にもテーブル席があり、奥左手には厨房と数席のカウンター席があった。卓上には醤油、酢、辣油といった餃子によく合う調味料が置かれている。
午後１時半頃の訪問で、客の入りは6割くらいだがすべてのテーブルが埋まった状態。客の男女比は7:3くらい。
ランチメニューは、「日替わり定食」700円、「焼き餃子定食」「大きなからあげ定食」「ニラレバー定食」各750円、「酢豚定食」「回鍋肉定食」各800円、「焼き水餃子定食」「焼き餃子からあげ定食」各850円などの定食類がメインだが、「麻婆豆腐刀削麺」「坦々麺」各800円などの麺類、それに麺類と半炒飯、さらにはそれらに餃子を組み合わせたセットもある。
このエリアでは店名に餃子を掲げながらランチメニューから餃子を外す店が多い中、餃子付きメニューをラインナップに加えているのはありがたい。
この日は、焼き餃子からあげ定食を注文。
注文から１０分後、焼き餃子からあげ定食のご提供。
餃子、唐揚げ、ご飯、スープ、漬物、冷奴、デザートという構成。
餃子は6個入りで、意外にも羽根つき。皮がもっちりタイプのせいか餃子同士が一部くっついてしまい離す際に皮が破れてしまうことがあったが餡が肉汁たっぷりタイプでないので食べやすさは損なわれていない。形は跳ねの部分を除くとやや丸っぽい。
その餡だが、ピンポン玉より少し小さいくらいのサイズのものがぎっしり詰まっておりなかなかの食べ応え。一口で食べきることはできないが、むしろこのボリュームがありがたい。
豚肉の挽肉は素材の甘みがじんわりと伝わるもので、肉汁は出ないもののジューシーさは適度に感じ、軟骨のコリコリ感も偶に現れる。これにキャベツの甘みも加わり、ニンニクが入っていないことによる風味の弱さはほとんど気にならずに食べ進めることができる。
唐揚は2個。1個あたりのサイズは10cm近くありなかなかのビッグサイズだが、衣の部分がけっこうあるので鶏肉自体は餃子の餡と同じくらいの大きさか。
衣の一部はカリカリしており口当たりは微妙だが鶏肉の弾力は適度なもので食べやすい。鶏肉自体への味付けはおとなしく、塩か胡椒が欲しくなってしまう。
スープはとろみのある玉子スープで、時折ニンジンやワカメも浮いている。やや塩気が強めだが、それがご飯を進ませる。
これらに冷奴や漬物も加わりおかずがたっぷりなのでご飯が足りなくなるが、ご飯のお替りは無料なので安心。
午後１時以降はセルフサービスながらコーヒーのサービスがある。中央にコーヒーポットが置かれておりそこから各自が注ぐスタイルだが、店員に頼めばアイスコーヒーも出してくれたようだ。
コーヒーを飲みながらデザートを食べる。デザートはごくごく普通の杏仁豆腐。
餃子を前面に出す店だけにランチに対する期待感はあまり高いものではなかったが、いい意味でその期待を裏切られ満足できるものだった。価格設定も手頃。
店員の応対はフレンドリーで、華系中華料理店らしい人懐っこい客への接し方が良いほうに作用している。居心地も悪くない。
夜の部がメインではあるのだろうがランチでも使い勝手十分。こうなると色々な餃子や一品料理が楽しめるであろう夜の部への期待が高まり、安心して飲み歩きができるようになったら訪れてみたい。
