ちょっと迷いが生じたこともあって、町場焼肉行脚は小休止。
最近、〈福〉という中々レベル高めな中華屋の居抜きで入ったお店に在宅勤務の昼飯として突撃。
結構繁盛していたのに突然店を閉めて改装工事をしていたので何のことやらと思いきや、外に置くメニューやなんかの佇まいはほぼ〈福〉と一緒で、何やいなと思いつつ、偵察に行ってみた次第。
ちなみに、夕方から夜にかけて、通りすがると毎度ほぼ満席なのも以前と変わらない。
11:00過ぎに行ってみると、まだ到着が早かったこともあって「この日、一番目の客」。
注文はタブレットで。この辺の設備投資をしたのか。
〈から揚げ炒飯〉なんかも魅力的だが、ここはひとつ、〈ネギチャーシューラーメン〉と〈半チャーハン〉。〆て1,050円。
炊飯ジャーからこんにちはするタイプではなく、きっちり鉄鍋を振る音が聞こえる。まずチャーハンが来てから、おっかけで麺が来る。
この麺がね、思いのほかいいのですよ。
ラー油を咬ませて真っ赤に染まったネギ、刻んであるチャーシュー。胡椒と油を咬ませた味付きネギを使った〈葱肉麺〉みたいなものと思いきや、真っ赤で驚く。けどこの辛さと味の濃さが丁度。麺の茹で加減もぴったりだし、繊細さや奥行きがある小難しいものではなく、要点を外さず、わかりやすく雑に美味しい。分量もなんだかやたらしっかりしている。
半チャーハンも、絶品とは言わないが、これまた200円でいただけるものとしてはお愛想以上のもの。
雨後の筍的に界隈で増殖を始めたネイティブ系とは一線を画しており、何だかやたら商売上手な感じの押し出しで警戒していたが、これなら全然、アリ。
最後に支払をした時に、以前ここにあった〈福〉とは関係あるのですか、と聞いたら、前の社長と今の社長がトモダチ、という回答。経営権が譲渡されてオーナーが変わっただけで、スタッフはほぼそのままなのかな。
以前の〈福〉も1度しか行ったことはないけれど、あの店同様、今日体感した味は「良心的ネイティブ系」の日本に居着いた味で、サービス精神旺盛な感じだし、安く雑に腹いっぱいになりたい時の持ち駒にしておこう。
