しゃっくりが止まらないと死ぬという都市伝説がある。昔中国に駐在して暴飲暴食を繰り返していた頃に24時間以上しゃっくりが止まらなかったことが何回かあった。ギリギリの線で生きつないだのだろう。何とか無事祖国に帰国出来た。
さて、今日は弟を誘って秩父宮にラグビーを観に行った。安定したゲームでプレーブルーパスがイーグルスに勝つ間、ビールを二杯、ハイボールを三杯飲みながら観戦していたら久しぶりにしゃっくりが止まらなくなった。祖国に帰還して以来しゃっくりがでた事は一度も無かったので、実に5年ぶりのしゃっくりだ。
死を覚悟するまではいかなかったが、ビールとハイボールで腹がガブガブかつしゃっくりが止まらず、ノーサイド後に「もう飲めねえ」「とても食えねえ」みたいな状態で飲み放題コースを予約した渋谷の魚真さんへ移動した。
よく｢デザートは別腹｣と言うが、おなかがいっぱいでもデザートを食べられるのは「甘いものはおいしい」という記憶・知識により摂食中枢が刺激されるからだそうだ。
「もう飲めない」と思いつつお邪魔した魚真さんの海鮮料理は前菜から〆の「のっけ寿司」まで非の打ちどころのない美味しさで、クォリティ高い料理を食した時点でアルコール版の満腹中枢が初期値にリセットされたようだ。生ビール、焼酎お湯割に次いで美味しい冷酒をグビグビ頂いてしまった。
「渋谷で飲む」ために行く店ではなく、この店に行くために「渋谷に行く」価値があるハイレベルな居酒屋だと思う。
渋谷という街は大学を卒業したら遠ざかると考えられがちだが、ドラマ「不適切にも程がある」に出てくるようなバブル世代オヤジにして魅了される店が神泉や桜坂には沢山ある。
魚真さんは初めてお邪魔したが、二歳下の弟と飲む際にリピート確実のお店になった。
