2023年6月のとある平日の17時過ぎに訪ねた。
渋谷駅から徒歩3分ほどの場所にある蕎麦チェーン店「ゆで太郎 渋谷宮益坂店」。
地下と路上の2フロアが利用出来る店舗。
それほど広くない路上の店内には先客2名。店内の食券機で「かきあげそば」¥550を選択する。
注文カウンターに食券を提示。3分ほど待って料理を受け取り、地下に降りてカウンター席に座る。程好い広さの地下フロアには先客2名。
それほど大きくはないかき揚げ天と刻みネギが乗った「かきあげそば」。
細めの麺とダシの旨味と醤油味の効いたつゆの組み合わせがゆで太郎らしさ。つゆにかき揚げ天を浸して崩しながら蕎麦と共に味わう。玉ネギ、ニンジン、ネギの甘みが引き出された天ぷらと蕎麦の組み合わせが良い感じ。
程好い甘みとコクを感じるつゆは後味がスッキリして万人に受ける味わい。蕎麦の歯応えは柔らか過ぎず、硬過ぎない良い塩梅。
安定のかきあげそばの味に卓上の七味唐辛子を振りかけて刺激を加える。飽きずに食べられる味がそこにあった。B級テイストだがこだわりを感じるそばを渋谷で楽しめるありがたさを噛み締める。
程好いボリュームのそばを完食する。550円という値段は立ち食いそば店にしては若干高いようには感じるが、昨今の物価上昇と満足度を考えると妥当だろう。
