「ご当地ラーメンランキング」とググってそのランキングを見ると、1位札幌ラーメン、2位博多ラーメン、3位和歌山ラーメン、そして4位には喜多方ラーメンを抑えて尾道ラーメンがランクイン。瀬戸内の小魚を出汁に使った鶏ガラベースの醤油スープに浮かべる大粒の背脂ミンチ。平打の麺に多めのネギ。戦後の空腹を満たすべく派生した屋台の中から生み出されたご当地飯であった。有名店朱華園の味が市内に広がり、早い段階でお土産ラーメンが普及し全国的にこの美味いラーメンの認知が広がった。
さて東京では数えるほどしか無い「尾道ラーメン」の店。こちらは渋谷の八じゅう。夜はお好み焼き屋だが昼は本格尾道ラーメンがいただける。蒲田の店舗は同じ屋号でラーメン専門のようだ。昼のみながら本格的で本場で食べるそれと何の遜色もない尾道ラーメンが東京渋谷でいただけます。美味しいご当地ラーメン頂きました。ご馳走様でした。
