This is a "panzerotti" (wrapped fried pizza) store located in Shoto, Shibuya. Mr. Nishi, who has lived in Italy for 25 years, recreated the ``panzerotti'' he experienced while living in Milan. You can enjoy nearly 30 types of panzerotti, aged ham, cheese, European meat and Vegetable Dishes, along with wine. Opened in May 2012. The location is about 3-4 minutes from the Tokyu main store on Shoto Bunkamura Street in the direction of Yamate-dori. Look for the yellow and white striped signboard on your right. This area is far from the center of Shibuya, so it is quiet. The restaurant is generally open in the evenings, but is also open for lunch on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays. Panzerotti is also available for takeaway. Afternoon visit. I reserved my seat online. The interior of the store is decorated in white with deep green walls. The tasteful mirrors, paintings, and ornaments are arranged to create an atmosphere that makes you feel like you are in a European-style Restaurants. Seating is at the counter and at tables. The counter seats are small, but they are popular among regulars because you can talk to the owner, Mr. Nishi. Mr. Nishi is friendly and pleasant when you talk to him. He has worked not only in Italy but also in New York and Ireland. I could feel the care they put into the ingredients. I was guided to a table. Consider the menu. Appetizers, Meat Dishes, vegetables, soups, panzerotti, desserts, etc. We also have a wide selection of wines. (Service charge: 100 yen/person.) If you want to enjoy the nearly 30 types of panzerotti, we recommend choosing from the a la carte menu and sharing. The ingredients are various, including cheese, vegetables, meat, fish, and Sweets. All of them are attractive, including Japanese flavors that don't rely on Italian ingredients. A great value brunch set* (3,200 yen) is also available. (*Drinks, salad, aged ham platter, panzerotti (margherita with fresh basil, penne, prosciutto, mozzarella cream sauce), coffee or tea) I ordered the following (prices exclude tax). The drink is carbonated water (500 yen). (Although most of the dishes go well with wine, we refrained from drinking alcohol as it would affect later activities.) The dishes were served in order and shared between two people. Rock salt, pepper, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar (white) are placed on the table. The saltiness is moderate, so adjust it to your taste. ●[b: Caprese with burrata cheese (smoked mozzarella and fresh cream)] (1,500 yen) When burrata cheese is smoked, its flavor increases and it has a chewy texture. I'm glad that you can eat smoked burrata cheese in Japan too. ●[b: Mixed salad with Gorgonzola cheese and nuts] (1,400 yen) Lettuce, cherry tomatoes, purple cabbage, carrots, zucchini, paprika, green pepper, corn, Gorgonzola cheese, and walnuts. No dressing applied. Add the seasonings on the table little by little and mix well before serving. Gorgonzola cheese is creamy and has a mild salty taste. The texture of nuts is an accent. I liked the slightly sweet balsamic vinegar (white) used for seasoning. Next is [b: Panzerotti]. The ingredients are wrapped in pizza dough and deep-fried in cottonseed oil. It looks like a large Gyoza / Dumpling. It's freshly fried and served cut in half, so be sure to handle it with your hands to avoid spilling the toppings! The pizza dough was fried to a crisp and was so hot that I couldn't hold it at first. It has a light texture, is not oily, and is not sticky at all. It seems that this light texture can only be achieved using cottonseed oil. This time there are two choices. ●[b: Panzerotti: Margherita with Italian buffalo mozzarella cheese and basil] (1,400 yen) There is so much piping hot tomato sauce that the presence of buffalo mozzarella cheese is subtle! ! Be careful as the tomato sauce will fly off if you are not careful. A classic flavor that is perfect for enjoying fried pizza dough. ●[b: Panzerotti: white fish fillet and vegetables with spicy tartar sauce] (1,400 yen) Diced and lightly grilled swordfish and vegetables (carrot, okra, paprika, corn, celery, green pepper, purple onion, potato) etc.). Filled with plenty of vegetables, the cross section is colorful and has a hearty feel. Tartar sauce is served separately, so add as much as you like before enjoying. There was a fair amount of swordfish in there, but what impressed me was the deliciousness of the vegetables, which came from being wrapped and fried. The variety was 80% the same as the salad I received earlier, but since it was wrapped and fried, it was steamed, increasing the sweetness without sacrificing the texture. The fried pizza dough was delicious and did a good job. Panzerotti may be made with the same fried dough, but with different toppings, they are completely different items. I felt like I understood just a little bit of its depth, and I wanted to try other ingredients as well. It's also a good size so you can easily eat it.
