【2024年3月8日初訪問】
ＪＲ渋谷駅「新南口」から直進して「明治通り」へ。渡らずに右折をして恵比寿方面へと少し進むと右手に現れるお店。
この日は夕方から用事があって渋谷へ。その帰りに２軒ばかりＣＤショップを回ると、ソコソコの時間になってしまった為、ちょっと足を伸ばして晩御飯…と思っていた予定を変更して、渋谷駅の周辺のお店で済ませる事に。その際にチェックをしていて見つけたのがこちらのお店。カオマンガイは私の大好きな料理。神田駅近にあったお店が閉店してからは(テイクアウト店ならあるんですが…)、もうずっーと食べておらず…という事でこちらのお店に寄らせて貰う事にしました。
到着したのは平日の夜７時を数分回った頃。店内には先客が３組５名。その内の１組は夫婦らしきカップル。彼等が退店して行き、代わりにお客が入り、またもう１人の男性客が出て入れ替わりに後続客が入って来ると…なんと男は私１人。やたらと女子の入りが良いな…と思っていましたが。店内スタッフも男は１人しかいないし…しかも聞こえて来る会話から、日本人も少なさそう…。そして至るところがピンク…。
取り敢えずは普通に「カオマンガイ」を…と、スープは付いているモノの、プラス100円で「ドリンクセット」となるという事で、そちらを「ジンジャーエール」にて注文です！更にはプラス50円で「骨入りスープ変更」となるとの事でしたので、それにてお願いをしました。３分程の待ち時間で、先ずはドリンクとスープがパクチーとタレと共に到着！更にそこから４分後には、「カオマンガイ」も到着となりました‼︎
味的には、忠実に作ってさえいれば、そんなにお店毎の差が出る料理だとは思わないので…やっぱり美味しいな！と。鶏肉もしっとりとジューシーに仕上がっているし！勿論そのままの鶏出汁の効いた味も美味しいけれど、ピリ辛のタレを掛ければ、また引き締まった美味しさも愉しめる！数年前迄は大嫌いだったパクチーも映える美味しさを演出してくれているし…ただ、こちらのお店のご飯に対する水加減が、私にとってはイマイチだったかな…⁈と。場所によって、ベチャッと感が強く出てしまっている気もして…。先述の神田の店舗ではこんな事なかったよな…とも。ここだけ少し残念で…。
「骨入りスープ」には、想像以上の量の骨が…エキスがたっぷりと出る事を考えれば、骨入りの方が美味しいんだろうけど、やはりそれなりの臭みも感じる様になる。骨が邪魔して飲み難い点と併せて、好みが分かれるかもしれません…。私は軟骨はそのまま食べつつ、美味しく頂く事が出来ました。
勿論、こちらのお店の味も悪くはないのですが、やはりご飯がメインとなる料理なので、その炊き加減は重要かと。そう思うと、先述の神田の店舗の閉店は残念だな…と、改めて。
