I heard that "Akarimado" in Akasaka has opened in Shibuya Modi so I went to check it out (*^^*) It was 1pm on a weekday. There aren't many customers at modi itself (^^;; I took the escalator up to the 5th floor, but it was a bookstore. There was a sign directing me, so I looked for it and found it in one corner of the bookstore! (◎_◎;) Well, as it's called a cafe stand, it's small. But it has a Japanese feel, and you can eat in at a low table on the tatami mats. They also sell sweets made with Japanese ingredients such as cookies and financiers, as well as tea. I went to the register and ordered and paid for a Hot Anko Donuts with Strawberry Anko (454 yen). I was told to wait wherever I liked. Donuts come in a variety of types, including tsubuanko (mozzarella cheese), kinako anko (mitarashi), ramune anko (marshmallow), apple anko (caramel apple), and Yaki-imo sweet potato anko (cheese, ground sesame), and each has a different topping. After waiting for a while, a staff member brought me Donuts on a tray. They were in a bag that looked like Hamburger. The strawberry anko was topped with mascarpone cream and mixed berries♪ When I took a bite, I thought, oh, it's warm! (◎_◎;) I assumed it would be cold, but it was a hot and cold sweet with warm dough, cold bean paste and cream. The dough is fried naan, and the texture and taste Donuts!?(・_・;? Or rather, it's like a chewy bread. The combination of strawberry-flavored bean paste, mascarpone cream, and mixed berries was quite good (*^^*) I'm glad I got to try something I've never had before ٩(ˊᗜˋ*)و I'm curious about other combinations too~♪
