I went to Shibuya MODI with a friend. After wandering around for a while, I was looking for a cafe to take a break. There seems to be a cafe at the back of HMV on the 5th floor, so I went there right away and found a small Japanese-style cafe♪ The seats are open, with four two-seater tables and one four-seater table. According to the official website, it seems that it used to be a Japanese-style room. It's hard to stay long because there are no backrests, but it might be enough for a short break. The drink menu is mainly teas such as matcha and roasted green tea. There were baked goods such as cookies and financiers, but they were matcha and kinako, which seemed to go well with tea. Since I was there, I ordered the "matcha" which came with two kinds of sweets. On this day, it was a matcha sable and a baumkuchen with gyuhi! The matcha was not bitter and was easy to drink. It was slightly warm and comforting. The sweets were not too sweet and were delicious! As expected, it goes well with matcha ♪ Next to the register, they also sell packaged sweets and teas, which would make a great souvenir! I'm also interested in the rare tea flavors ♪ The Akasaka store seems to be a cafe dining with a nice atmosphere, so I'd like to try it out if I'm in the area!
