土曜日の渋谷、スクランブルスクエアの人混みを抜けて少し早めのランチ。以前通りかかって気になっていたおにぎりの店に入った。
カウンターに座ってメニューチェック。無難におにぎりプレートと思ったが…。お！なんと、おでんとおにぎりのプレートがあるのか！ じゃあこれしかない、ということでおにぎり1個のおでんプレート(1,080円)を注文。
おにぎりは季節の具材も選べる。旬のものは追加料金がかかるかと思ったがそれはなく、かなりのお得感。お勧めのサンマのしぐれ煮を選んだ。
まずはおでんが提供される。大根以外に好みの２種を盛り付けてくれるなんて嬉しいじゃん？ 今回は卵とロールキャベツを頼んだ。
おでんを味わっているとほどなくおにぎり登場。あつあつの鶏唐にサラダ、たくわんの付け合せがプレートに乗っている。ふんわりと海苔に包まれたおにぎりはほどよく温かく、サンマのしぐれ煮の甘みも程よい感じ。みそ汁が付くのも嬉しいねぇ。
ちょくちょく足を運んで全種制覇したい、なんて考えてしまった。やはりおにぎりは日本人のソウルフードのようだ。もちろん外国の旅行者にもお勧めだよ。
