誕生日に連れてきてもらいました。恵比寿駅から動く歩道使って約10分ほど。ガーデンプレイスの突き当たりに、邸宅として素敵な建物が建っています。入り口は少しわかりづらいです。
クロークにコート類を預けた後、1階でお食事。紫を基調としたフロアです。
予約のコースはメニューの中から前菜2、主菜2、デザート1を選ぶスタイル。追加料金で前菜はキャビアと主菜で牛サーロインを選びました。
キャビアはジョエルロブションの有名皿で、写真映え抜群。蟹を使っているのですが、それほど蟹の旨みは感じられず。温前菜として選んだ白子が美味しかったです。
パンも複数種類持ってきてくださり、どれも美味しく、ついつい食べてしまうので最後の方少しお腹がいっぱいに…
主菜の1皿めは、頬肉を頼みました。口の中でほろほろとろけるのは美味しいのですが、ソースの味が濃いのが残念。生姜やスパイスがきいています。
2皿めは和牛のサーロイン。下に敷いてあるほうれん草がわさび風味。脂も乗っていて美味しいですのですが、感動レベルまではいかず。上に乗っている舞茸のフリットが、口の中でベトベト脂っぽいのですが、フレンチでのフリットってそういうもの？
最後にデザートはショコラのガナッシュを。サクサクした食感は美味しいですが、コーヒー必須の甘さ。見た目は、ロブションのロゴが入ったチョコも載っていて映えます。
サービスは当然良いですし、雰囲気も素晴らしいので特別感を味わえてお祝いには打ってつけ。金額もワンドリンクで1人2万円ほどなので、コスパも悪くないと思います。が、味が全体的に濃いめなので、真のフレンチの美味しさを求めるにはリピートはないかな……
