友人の勧めで初訪問。地図で調べつつ路地に入り込むも中々たどり着けない。半ば謎解きのような心持ちでお店探しです。恵比寿という土地柄、このロケーションにまず新鮮な驚きを得られます。間口のやや狭い引き戸を開け、中庭から入り口へ。瞬時に誰しもが懐かしさを感じる、一種の異空間へ。さすが、築70年の古民家。わざとらしい演出がなくてもかなりの説得力があります。初めてなのに懐かしい。これはなかなか素敵な雰囲気です。当日予約でしたので、コースはベーシックな月替りメニューを用意してもらいました。1日前までの予約だと、同月の訪問でもメニューが全て被らないような配慮もしていただけるようです。カウンターから見える厨房の風景はこれまた懐かしさいっぱい。女性料理長のテキパキした動きが家庭的なイメージを際立たせています。
和服姿の女将さんも楽しい方で、飲みながらのトークもお酒が進みそうな感じでした。
コースは創作和食懐石です。
沖縄ご出身のオーナー厳選の素材が、ともすれば旅館メシと紙一重になりがちなところに上手いアクセントが入り、最後まで飽きさせない感じです。量はお酒を頂きながらだと丁度良い感じです。また、このクオリティでしたら接待でも可だと思います。また、各部屋がそのまま個室のような造りになっているので、プライバシーを重んじる場面でも問題なしです。
ノスタルジーな気分に酔いながら、店を後にすると、わずか1〜2分でいつもの恵比寿の街に戻ります。このギャップがまた面白い。
ぜひ、再訪してもう一度じっくりと堪能してみたいですね。
