【恵比寿駅徒歩1分】サガリ肉ステーキのミートサンドが自慢のアメリカンカフェ‼

下北沢に本店と2ndの2店を持つ「STABLER Shimokitazawa Meatsand」 恵比寿にも支店がありました。西口ロータリーからすぐ、「釜元たん米衛」とか「松栄」とかのあたりです。どっかでステーキサンドの写真を見て、一目惚れして行ってみました。
午後1時過ぎで、店前には10名ほどの人だかり。待つの嫌だしテイクアウトしようと、Take Out窓口で注文。
SHIMOKITAZAWA MEAT Sandwitch ”W” 1850円
CHILIとかCAJUN味もあったけど、初めてなので基本のステーキサンドをダブルで。肉300gのボリュームサンドです。
若いお兄さんがフライパンで肉を焼き、パンにソースとマスタードを塗ってトースターで焼き、肉を乗せて包んでカットしています。出来上がったサンドは、並んでいた高校生のグループへ。ありゃ、この人たちもテイクアウト待ち？ この時点で並んでいる十数名の大半はテイクアウト待ちであることが判明しました。すぐできると思って待っていたのに、お兄さんのワンオペではなかなか列は進みません。そのうち店内で食べていた外国人客も帰り、店内はガラガラに。なんだこれなら店内で食べても良かったな。
結局25分待ってようやくサンドイッチを手に入れました。持って帰って実食。
食パンにサガリ肉がぎっしり。ダブルは300g入っているのでボリューム感じゅうぶん。かぶりついてみると、あ゛―、肉が固い。全然噛み切れないぞ。一切れ一切れは大きくないけど、噛むのに顎が疲れる固い肉。これは大変。
味付けは、ちょっと酸味のあるソースにマスタードで、なかなか美味しいんだけど、青海苔は要らないかな。
見栄えも味も悪くないけど、肉が固いのが最大の問題点。これは何とかしてほしいですね。
そもそもお肉のクオリティをもう少し上げられないですかね。サガリ肉はHanging Tender（ハンギング テンダー）又はHanger（ハンガー）と呼ばれ、安価なステーキ肉の代表です。町場のステーキ屋や「いきなりステーキ」で1850円出したら、どのくらいのお肉が食べられるんだろう。
アメリカには薄切りの肉を何十枚も重ねたボリューミーなローストビーフサンドがあり、牛肉を柔らかく食べられる工夫がされています。ステーキとは違うけれど、そんな工夫も可能性としてはあるかも。
