居酒屋のような使い方もできるお店なのだろうけれども、今回は食事での利用をさせていただいた。この界隈のラーメンは有名どころは食べつぶしていて、かつ麺が食べたかった――のだけれども、大正解だったといえよう。
午後五時ころの入店、店内は音楽などがかかっておらずやや暗い雰囲気だが、繁華街に染まっていない家庭的な雰囲気ともとれる（台湾人の店員さん同士が中国語で楽しげにやりとりをしている）。牛肉麺を指して注文をすると、女性の方がこれは正しい発音は○○○。と教えてくれたりして、ほっこりとしたりする（ほかにお客さんがいなかったというのもあっただろうけれど、とてもフレンドリーな感じであった）。
麺も、これは本当に衝撃的だった。スパイスの辛味、青菜の鮮やかな香り、辛さのなかでネギまでいきいきとした香りが感じられるほど。麺は独特の食感で、日本のラーメンとはまったく異なっていて、楽しいことこの上ない。一杯あたりのボリュームもかなりあるのだが、完全に異国の地、台湾の雰囲気に染まりながら、ずるずるとものすごい勢いで食べてしまった。
東京らしいことをしたい、ひと味ちがうものを食べたい、という向きには絶対にお勧め。
