山遊亭金太郎師匠の真打披露興行、新宿末広亭へ。
まだ、興行まで数時間ほどあったので、新宿を散策していて目に留まったJazz Cafe & Bar DUG。
迷いもせず階段を降りてみました。
1977年創業。
全く知り得ませんでした。
まだ、この手の店があるんですねぇ
L字型のカウンター、テーブル7〜8卓。
ブラウニッシュな店内、右手が禁煙スペース、左手カウンターやテーブルが喫煙可能なスペースです。
カウンター内に2台、ウォータードリップが設置されています。
これにはテンションが上がりますね。
漠然とコーヒーを点てるのではなく、拘りが見て取れ、しかも、水出しコーヒーは滅多に失敗することはありませんし。
◆水出しアイスコーヒー (700円 税込)
ほどよい濃さ、酸味がほとんどないタイプのコーヒーは、ぼく好みです。
喫煙可能な側のカウンターに席をもらいました。
カウンター好きなこともありますが、小さな店内、右手の禁煙スペースの席でもあまり変わらないと思ったからです。
この日、お客の多くは喫煙者だったため、店内、結構燻い印象もありましたが、ジャズと酒とシガーは付きものなので仕方ありませんね。
