While talking with my partner, I decided that we should go somewhere to eat tonight, which is the Emperor's birthday, so we tried hitting on some notable places, but many of them were closed on public holidays and wouldn't accept reservation on the day on the same day. The place I visited was Unoya on the 49th floor of the Nishi-Shinjuku Nomura Building. This place is next to Hibiki, which I often visit, and I knew Hibiki was closed on public holidays, so I went to Unoya today. After toasting with the carefully poured premium malts, I ordered on my smartphone. ○ Assortment of 6 appetizers ・Cream cheese pickled in soy sauce with thyme aroma ・Tochio fried canapés topped with yuzu-scented salmon tartare ・Red sea bream and potato carpaccio with perilla Genovese ・Colorful pickles with a gentle herbal scent ・Potato salad Accented with pickles Topped with a soft-boiled egg・Marinated duck Orange sauce ○Roasted duck? (←This is the only menu name I don't know...) ○ Shrimp and mushroom Ajillo soinomi & baguette ○ Toro tuna cutlet Kekka sauce with flavored vegetables ○ Fluffy omelet with Wagyu beef stew ○ Cheese risotto with 15-grain rice I also received another brand of Japanese sake, Hakurakusei. By the way, although I have used Unoya about 5 or 6 times, this was my partner's first time, and since the store itself is located on the northwest corner of the 49th floor of the Nishi-Shinjuku Nomura Building, the view is completely open. (Maybe I'm just too used to seeing it...) My partner said that the night view was even more beautiful than Hibiki.
