先日こちらでいただいた三重県桑名産の地蛤が忘れられないという家内に誘われ土曜日のランチタイムに訪問。桑名に本店を構えるこちらのお店にはハマグリのセットメニューが豊富だがあえて単品勝負で天ぷら、焼きを注文した。どれも小ぶりではあるがアサリやしじみに比べると淡白ながらも滋味深く上品な味わい。このハマグリ、春から夏にかけてが旬とは言われるがお店の方によると通年でたべられるとのこと。新宿(伊勢丹会館)にいながらにして地方の町にいるような店内の雰囲気もあいまって優雅な食材を堪能した。
