『老辺(ロウベン)餃子舘 新宿本店』さんへ伺いました。【食べログ3.49】餃子百名店2021に選出されています。
場所は新宿西口、京王百貨店のお向かい、『紀州屋』さんと同じビルでした。
平日夜、お席のみ予約で伺いました。

餃子百名店ということでお目当ては餃子！！
焼き、蒸し、水餃子とフルにオーダーしました。
焼きは揚げ焼きのような皮はカリカリスタイル。
何もつけずに食べるも良し、少し物足りないと感じる方は黒酢や酢醤油をおすすめします。
餃子の中で1番美味しかったのは蒸し餃子。もちもちとしています。
お味(餡)も色々な種類をオーダーしたものの、何が何やらわからない...「猫耳型餃子」すら見分けが付かない...状態で何を食べているのか...
店員さんが説明してくれるものの、どれがどれやら一瞬でわからなくなります。
特徴のある餃子を楽しみたい方におすすめなのかもしれません。
餃子以外にも多くの揚州(ようしゅう)料理があります。多すぎて迷いますが、おすすめしたいのは
麻婆春雨と卵とトマトの炒めです。
特に卵とトマトの炒めはトマトの酸味と卵の塩気のバランスが良くとても美味しい！！
この日1番のお気に入りメニューでした。
デザートには杏仁豆腐とココナッツアイスを。
両方を一緒にいただくと美味しいです。
オーダーはタッチパネル方式。お席は2時間制(ラストオーダーが2時間後です)
平日18:00来店時はお客さまはまばらでしたが、気づけば満席で、さすが人気店です。
ビールはアサヒ、サッポロ、キリン、青島のほか、提供店が限定されている白穂乃果もあります。
初めての餃子百名店。
