The limited flavors for May are three Japanese tea-based flavors. ・Sencha Orange ・Hojicha Tiramisu ・Genmaicha Honey Nuts These three flavors are combined in a Japanese tea flavor set of 3 for ¥590. Recently, it's not uncommon Gelato a set of three flavors to cost over ¥700, so considering that it's located in the basement of Shinjuku Isetan, it feels like a good deal. ・Sencha Orange This is my favorite. Flavored Japanese tea is sometimes sold, and this is just Gelato version of that. At this time of early summer, the refreshing citrus flavor of the sencha is pleasant. The orange scent is well balanced, and the refreshing taste is refreshing rather than a rich tea taste. ・Hojicha Tiramisu Perhaps because it is combined with hojicha, the flavor of the mascarpone is light. Perhaps because of this, you can enjoy this creaminess without it interfering with the other flavors. ・Genmaicha Honey Nuts It contains crushed nuts and has just the right amount of sweetness from the honey. It has the aroma of genmaicha, but the impression of nuts remains strong. Since it was just before lunchtime on a weekday, we were able to sit in the eat-in area.

ピスタチオ水ようかん

＊Mサイズで3種類選べるのですが、ピスタチオ水ようかんを堪能したかったので、こちらを2つ分にしました。
第6回ジェラートマエストロコンテストで3位を受賞された「ピスタチオ水ようかん」。

たまたまこの情報を目にし、新宿伊勢丹と市川伊勢丹で発売されることを知りました。ちょうど新宿伊勢丹の発売日がお休みだったので行かないわけにはいきません。
ピスタチオ水ようかん
どんな味なのか想像もつかないですが、完全にピスタチオと羊羹が融合。水羊羹のまったりとした舌触りから水羊羹を感じ、鼻に抜けるのはピスタチオの香り。異色の組み合わせが不思議と一つの美味しさにまとまっています。販売がいつまでか分かりませんがちょっと珍しいこの味はアイス好きにはぜひおすすめしたいです。
煎茶オレンジ
前回日本茶シリーズを食べて好きだったこちらも。このフレーバーの煎茶があれば美味しそう。抹茶とは違うすっきりとした煎茶と、そこに香るオレンジが初夏にぴったりです。
