ピザといったらシェーキーズ。
関東に行くと、あちこちの飲食店をハシゴし、１日１０食という事もあるコロ助１３ですが、この前日にジョナサンに行った時も普段なら店が違えば別物だという考えでピザを注文するものの、この時の関東への密航では、ピザに関してはシェーキーズに全てをかける意気込みで、新宿通り店に行くか池袋店に行くか葛藤したものの、スケジュールの都合で新宿通り店に行きました。
ランチバイキングでピザ、パスタ、ポテト、カレー、サラダが食べ放題。おまけにドリンクバーもついています。
シェーキーズとおれのランチバイキング９０分１本勝負。ピザは常時１０種類ぐらい提供されており、ピザがどんどん焼き上がり、ポテトもどんどん揚げられ、パスタもどんどん茹で上がり、まさに乱汁乱麺乱芋飯乱ピザ、要するにガツガツズルズルサバサバやるべし。
さあ、満腹だ、羽田空港に向かうぞと思いきや、まだ食べてないピザが焼き上がる。
そこでまた乱ピザが始まり、結局は時間切れ引き分けでした。
ギンギンに味わえました。

２０年ぐらい前までは、北海道にも札幌や旭川にフランチャイズの店舗があり、週に１回はランチバイキングに通っていました。
それまでデリバリーのピザは食べた事がありますが、デリバリーという事もあり、焼き立てとは言えませんが、シェーキーズのランチバイキングは、次から次へと焼き立てのピザが提供され、こんな美味いものがあるのかと思って、１回でピザは２０ピース、その他ポテトやパスタも食べまくって、１か月で１０キロぐらい太ったこともありましたが、その後運営会社の撤退により閉店。それ以来、約２０年ぶりのシェーキーズとなりました。
当時は、ピザ、パスタ、ポテトが食べ放題のランチバイキング６００円で、ドリンクは別料金で、ドリンクバーなんて洒落た物は無し。
今はピザ、パスタ、ポテトだけでなくカレーやサラダバーもついて、新宿通り店だとホリデーバイキングで１５００円。物価の移り変わりを感じます。
ピザは常時１０種類ぐらい提供されており、ピザがどんどん焼き上がるので、何度もおかわりしに行き、あの頃のように２０ピース、いやそれ以上食べたのではなかろうか。
ポテトもパスタもサラダバーも食べまくり、カレーはライスでお腹が膨れてピザが食べられなくなっては本末転倒なので、スープ代わりにルーのみ食べる。
ドリンクバーをこよなく愛するおれは、もちろんドリンクバーも注文したが、烏龍茶もいいが、ここはコーラだ、ジンジャーエールだ、カルピスだ。カロリーを考えずに、ひたすら飲み食いする。
それがシェーキーズの醍醐味だよ。君。

When it comes to pizza, it's Shakey's. It's a store I want to go to every time I go to Tokyo, but in reality, due to schedule conflicts and other stores I want to go to, I can only go there about once every two years. I managed to manage my schedule and go to Shakey's, but the lunch time limit is 2 hours, but due to my schedule, I could only stay for about 1 hour. In the meantime, let's eat as much as we can and eat 20 pieces of pizza! I was enthusiastic, but Shakey's doesn't just have pizza, but the fries and pasta are also delicious, so since it was a buffet, I ate like a pirate and gave up on the pizza after about 10 pieces. I usually come to the store with plenty of time, so I don't have to eat like a pirate, so I can eat about 20 pieces while having a relaxing time, but if I eat too fast, I won't be able to eat that much. That doesn't exist. I think I could have eaten about 20 pieces if I had just focused on pizza, but I can't go back to Hokkaido without having some fries and pasta at Shakey's.
