蒸し暑い夜にパイナップルハイボール！

新宿三丁目に復活した串かつえいちゃんの後にもう一軒。
ぼくは基本、オーナーと直にコミュニケーショが取れる店を主体に訪問しています。
チェーン展開している店では、なかなか意志の疎通がはかれないし、その後の展開も乏しく、得るものも乏しいという理由で、なかなか伺いません。
そのため、かなりの数のバーに伺っていますが、日比谷バーは初訪問です。
コロナの影響で、20店舗強あった日比谷バーも半減してしまいました。
バーが目の敵にされましたが、オーセンティックバーと風俗的なバーを一色単にとらえた政策には驚くしかありません。
この日、西武新宿線の駅の近くまで来て、ふと目に止まった日比谷バー。
一度は行っとくかと思い初訪問してみました。
セピアな照明の店内は、ほどよい明るさです。
重厚なストレートのカウンター、テーブルが5-6卓。
地下にして天井が高く、空間的には余裕がありますね。
◆パイナップルハイボール (1,150円 税込)
フレッシュパイナップルを潰して、炭酸とウイスキーを加えて、ウイスキーカクテルです。
ウイスキーハイボールにレモンを加えるとはありますが、そのパイナップルバージョン。
パイナップルの風味と酸味が印象的です。
◆シャルトリューズ (1,150円 くらい)
フロートで炭酸割りに。
シャルトリューズの薬草の風味、好みなのです。
体に良さそう。。。（笑）
最近マイブームのフロートバージョン。
要は、グラスに炭酸と氷を先に注いでから、酒をフロートする飲み方です。
最初の一口にインパクトがあり、徐々に酒が混ざってさっぱりしていく、飲み終えた頃には、ついつい、もう一杯飲みたくなる割り方。
最初からかき混ぜてしまうより、はるかに旨いのです。
この日、接客をしてくれた小手森さんは、日比谷バーではベテランのバーテンダーです。
落ち着いた振る舞いは好感が持て、会話も楽しく過ごせました。
いい出会いになりました。
それにしても、この店舗の規模で、ワンオペなのには驚きです。

久しぶりの訪問。
ラストオーダーギリギリの訪問になってしまったのですが、「あっ、ジゲンさん、一杯だけならどうぞ」とマスター。
何店舗がある日比谷バーの中で、唯一、ぼくを知っているマスターがこの日、当店にいたのでした。

アメリカ産RYE WHISKEY(ライウイスキー)です。
ライとはライ麦を意味しています。
同じくアメリカンウイスキーといえば、バーボンが有名ですが、バーボンはトウモロコシが原料です。
