NOWAビルというほぼ飲食店だけをテナントにした商業ビルで、エレベーターを降りるといきなり店の中というビルの構造。だからワンフロアーに１店舗だけ。かなり大きなフロアーで、中途半端なコンセプトだと集客できずに苦戦をしちゃう。今までも何軒も苦戦の末に撤退し、その度、新たなお店が趣向を凝らして店を作って開業。ここも「御庭」という名前の通り、お店の中に川のせせらぎを作って店全体が石庭みたいな設えとした。
窓から見える新宿駅越しの超高層ビルとのコントラストがオモシロイ。
平日のランチタイムは家庭料理のバフェレストラン。
週末ランチはメインを選ぶと野菜バフェがもれなくつくというスタイルで、だからでしょうね。ほぼ１００％女性客。
サラダ野菜に蒸し野菜。ドレッシングや塩に味噌など、調味料があれこれ揃っていはするけれど、ひとつぐらい野菜の煮付けなんかが用意されてたら、もっと野菜を食べた！って感じでココロが満たされたはずなんだけど、ちょっと残念。
それにしてもバーニャカウダってちょっと前まで「知る人ぞ知る」料理だったのに今では「誰もが知ってる」料理になっちゃった。
出汁巻き玉子を追加でたのむ。
出汁が自慢という店で、ならば出汁巻き玉子をとってみるのが一番…、とそう思ってたのんでみたら、なるほどシットリ。
タップリ、出汁を吸い込んで焼けた玉子で、食べるとジュワリと口の中がみずみずしくなる。
そういえば、今朝も卵焼きを作って食べた。甘くてカッチリした卵焼き。同じ素材を使って作って、こんなに違った料理ができるってなんだか楽しく愉快になった。
まずはひと品…、鶏の唐揚げ御膳がきます。
味をしっかり漬け込んで、片栗粉をはたいて揚げたボクの好みの仕上がりで、一個一個が大きめなのがおいしく見える。
噛むとジュワリと肉汁しみだし、ご飯のおかずになかなかのでき。
ご飯が２種類、白米、十二穀米と選べるところが今風で、こういうところは昔ながらの飲食店がなんで対応しないんだろう…、って思ったりした。
それからもひとつ、ひつまぶし。
小さな羽釜。釜飯スタイルでやってくる。中は白米。そこに分厚い鰻の蒲焼き。細切りにして並べて蓋してやってくる。
蓋を取ると蒲焼きの醤油の焦げた香りがフワリと。脂がのってて、名古屋風のカリカリでもない。江戸前風のふわふわでもない。どちらかと言えば関西風の皮目はパリッと、身はムッチリと仕上がっている。
ワサビにネギに山椒に、細切りの海苔に熱々の出汁。
最初は鰻の蒲焼き丼。出汁巻き玉子と一緒に食べると、卯巻きご飯のようでもあって口の中がみずみずしくなる。そしてココの自慢の出汁をかけてザブザブ。お腹が落ち着く。オゴチソウ。
