[April 2014: Relocated from Nishi-Shinjuku Aya Building, 1-14-17 Nishi-Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku] |
It is located in an area dotted with restaurants, just off the Koshu Kaido road from the west exit of Shinjuku. With Shinjuku Station behind you, cross the pedestrian crossing and walk about 150 meters. This is Chinmaya Nishi-Shinjuku store. \(^o^)/ I stop by this shop every now and then when I come to Shinjuku. Since I usually come during lunch time, I choose from the lunch menu, and I always order the mapo bowl and dandan noodles set... (Maybe I'm not the adventurous type... (lol)) By the way, during peak lunch hours, it's always fully booked... m(__)m The mapo bowl has a bit of sansho pepper, but it also has a lot of flavor. (Maybe it's a little too spicy for me.) That's what I'm thinking, so I'm ordering it. (lol) The tandan noodles have a mild spiciness, but the sesame-based flavor is strong, so it goes well with the mapo bowl. I think the cost performance is also very good. The lunch menu starts from 850 yen, which is less than 1000 yen, so it's easy on your wallet. It was very delicious that day too. I will stop by again... Thank you for the treat... m(__)m
