新宿駅から徒歩5分程度。
駅近でも、歌舞伎町方向と違って、
しっとりとした雰囲気をもつ一角にあります。
角地に立った外観も素敵ですし、
店内は広く、テーブル間隔も十分です。
注文時、分からないメニューがあったので、
ホールスタッフさんに聞くと、とても詳しい説明をいただき、
凄いなぁと感心していたら、
あれ？そのスタッフさんがキッチンで調理を始めた。。。
ホールスタッフさんじゃない、シェフだったんだ。
この広いお店の切り盛り、ワンオペですか？
でも、ちょっとうれしいです。
スパニッシュオムレツは、
ケーキのような可愛らしい出で立ちで登場。
一般的には味濃いめで、
角切りジャガイモがゴロゴロのイメージですが、
こちらのはやさしい味つけで、
ポテトもマッシュされていて滑らか。
愛嬌のある家庭料理的“粗さ”より、
口当たりと味わいの調和が魅力的な
ちょっと上品な仕上がりが美味です。
キノコのソテーは、
大きめカットの各種キノコの競演。
バターが効いたソースをたっぷり吸いこんだ
キノコのそれぞれ微妙に異なる歯ごたえがいい感じです。
イカ墨のパエリアは、
漆黒の中に、イカやホタテなど魚介の具材も散りばまっています。
ご飯の歯ごたえも、芯の残り具合と、
表面のプックリした感じがナイスバランスです。
独特のイカ墨臭は比較的軽めかな。
添えられたアーリオオーリオのディップを乗せると、
全く別味で、二度楽しめます。
デザートにいただいたガトーショコラ。
フルーツソースやナッツのデコレーションで、
可愛らしく華やかに仕上げられているのが、
ワンオペながら〆まで手を抜かない
シェフの心意気を語っているようで、
嬉しくなります。
もちろん味わいもコックリと濃厚で美味しいです。
友人に「ランチが良かったから」と
引っ張って行かれたこちらのお店ですが、
ディナーもさすが、大満足でした。
ワンオペでも、充実したサービスで、
かえってシェフの人柄にも触れられて、
心地よかったです。
