社畜の森の隠れ家でいただくコスパランチ。
新宿駅西口、都庁行きの動く歩道のある通路から入れる、新宿エステックビル地下2階。店自体はその名の通り、ビルの奥まった場所にあるのですが、ポップは動く歩道の通路にも出ているのでそこまで迷わないと思います。
とんかつが食べられる店……と思い入店したものの、上ロースカツは終了とのこと。無念。代わりにメニューで気になった、スペアリブカレーを注文。頼んでそう時間も経たずに到着。カレー系は早いと相場が決まってますがその例に違わず。
カレー皿の中央にデンと置かれたスペアリブはインパクト抜群。肉はあらかじめ骨から剥がされており、とても食べやすいです。肉自体もそこそこ柔らかく、軟骨までおいしくいただけました。骨付きと銘打つ意味を気にしてはいけない。
当日は平日のランチタイムで、ビルの静かな雰囲気とは裏腹に団体のお客さんが何組様も出て来たのが印象的でした。繁盛してる模様。ただ、その分店外の列に気を配れてないのか、先頭で待っていた方は待ちきれず帰ってしまっていました。
ランチ自体はライス・豚汁・お新香がおかわり無料で、スタミナ温玉丼などはメガサイズも用意されていたりと、コスパ的にはとても良い印象。機会があればもう1度ぐらいチャレンジしてみたいです。今度こそ上ロースとんかつ。
