新宿で働く友人に連れて行ってもらいました。
この通りなんて、もうそれこそ学生時代だから、20数年前に通ったっきりというぐらいの新鮮さ。
当時、昭和から平成にかかるころで、そんなに情報にあふれているわけではないので、安い店を探してはいたけど、こういったもつ焼きや煮込み、ホッピーの店を目指してきてなかったような気がします。
何より、バブルの絶頂期にあったので、こういうお店よりも高級志向のお店にみなさんながれていたのでしょうか？
私はずっと貧乏学生だったので、もっと早く知ってれば。。という感じです。まぁ、たぶんコッチ方面に興味がなかったのでしょうね、若いころは。
で、焼き鳥の味は？まぁいうまでもありませんね。モツ煮込み、これは店の顔ですので、頼んでおかないといけません。
前日の水道橋のこってりとはまた違い、白みそであっさりしていました。これに一味をガーーーっと振りかけて、ホッピーと合わせるのが一番のスタンダードでしょう。
うーん、この通りは腹空かせてハシゴしたい、そんなところですね。
早くまた行きたい！！です。
