雑多で、夜はネオンがきらめく様な場所が得意技であるから、
こういうキチッとした区画はいつもと少し勝手が違う。
NEW YORKER'S Cafeは
そんなビル街の一角にある。
近隣のビジネスマンはもとより
工学院の学生さんたちもよく利用する。
シックなカフェの様でもあるし、
洒落た学食の様な気安さもあるのが不思議だ。
ホットコーヒーとベーグルサンドを頂いた。
オーソドックスな白いカップに、
苦味が効いた褐色ののど越し。
ベーグルサンドは嬉しいハーフハーフである。
旨味の強いスモークチキンが良い味だしてる。
軽くトーストしてくれるのもありがたい。
落ち着くというよりも、
シャキッとするお店の雰囲気。
細々とした作業も片付けて、
今日のお供の本は、天下り酒場。
