地下鉄・新宿三丁目駅を明治通りとの交差点近くの出口から地上に出て新宿通りを御苑方向に歩くとすぐにあるカフェ・ベローチェ。
アタシは友人の「全日本社会人落語選手権」の優勝者のネタから「ベロンチョ」と呼んでいるお店です。
とある平日の午後。
新宿周辺で打合せがあり、新宿三丁目まで来ます。
地下から上がってきたので方角的な感覚がずれてしまい、一瞬、東西南北や通りの名前を理解できない自分がいます。
そんなとき、目の前にコチラ「ベロンチョ」。
打合せの時間まではまだ時間があるのでここでイツフクして感覚を戻そうと考えます。
拾い階段を降りて地下にあるお店。
店に入るとけっこうな大型店。
老若男女で混雑しています。
アタシはサービスカウンターでアイスコーヒーを注文。
キャッシュオンデリバリーで空いてる席を見つけて座ります。
この日はブラックではなくガムシロを半分ほど加えます。
適度な苦みがありながらも軽い口当たりのコーヒー。コーヒーそのものに甘さは感じませんがガムシロを入れたのでその甘さを感じます。
携帯で現在地と打合せ場所の方向を確認します。
約１５分ほどのんびりとイツフク。
そして、最後に冷たいお水で口直しをして店を出て打合せ場所に向かったのでした。
