新宿にある「木村屋総本店」で、朝パンを購入。京王デパートのMBFにあるパン屋。メロンパン241円、抹茶あんぱん232円、粒あんぱん167円にした。
メロンパンは銀座クリームメロンという名前で、普通のメロンパンより高く、生地がマスクメロンのオレンジ色をしていて、メロンクリームが注入されている。表面がカリカリで、生地のメロン風味が良く、人気NO.2も納得。
抹茶あんぱんは、少し大きなまんじゅうといったサイズで、3口で食べられるものだ。抹茶餡は一口羊羹の抹茶味と同じくらいの甘さ。生地はギュッと詰まった食感である。
粒あんぱんは、小倉あんが入っていて、店の顔ともいえる一品。普通の菓子パンよりもあんこが濃い。他のパンよりも200円以内に価格を抑えているところが、手を出しやすい。
