甲州街道脇の立地にあるアウトレットワインのお店で白、ロゼ、赤の三種類のスペインワインをいただいてきました。駅近のためでしょう、思った以上ににぎわいのある界隈ですね。それでいて危ない感じはしません。
さて、正式な店名は「新宿ワヰン酒場」のようです。神楽坂にも「ワヰン酒場」がありますが、こちらは経営母体が別のようです。名前だけ貸しているそんな形でしょうか。
そういうわけでメニュー構成も、ワインの値付けもまた少し違う気がしました。
新宿のお店ですが、店内はとても小さめです。比較的新しいだけあって清潔感がある印象でした。
またワイングラスももちろん高級なグラスを使っているわけではありませんが、神楽坂で使われているものよりはよい物で、赤ワインは一回り大きいグラスでした。神楽坂はすべて同じグラスだったと記憶しています。
店内喫煙可ですが、この日は奇跡的に喫煙者なしで助かりました。
人気があるのか、場所がよいのか、けっこう予約が入っているようで、６時過ぎでカウンター以外はほぼ満員という感じでした。
サービスはアルバイトの女性陣が主体のようです。この日はギャル風な女性と普通の女子大生風の女性…二人ともまじめな子達だと思いますが、控え目とはいえ長々のおしゃべりはいただけません。店長さんも注意しにくいのでしょうが、注意するのがお店のため、彼女たちのためと思います。
さて、いただいたワインですが、白が特によかったです。手頃な値付けだと思いました。
懐にやさしくワインを飲みたい時、若いサービス陣とのコミュニケーションを楽しみたい（笑）という時には新宿で思い出してもよいワイン居酒屋でしょう。
あくまで気軽に、ふらりとワインを飲みに行かれて下さい。内装はカジュアルですが、質の悪さを露骨に感じる雰囲気ではないので、それなりに楽しめる場所だと思いました。喫煙者がいないという条件付きですが。
