非日常の雰囲気で本格的なナポリピッツァをいただきましたが、ドリンクは想像以上に必須でした。
知人と夕食へ。色々と候補がありましたが、帰りやすい新宿駅近くにしました。前を何度も通っていて認識はしていましたが、今まで来店していなかったピザのお店です。
外観も内観も２０世紀初頭か中盤のアメリカ西海岸の高級店っぽい雰囲気。ディ○○ーシーのアメリカン○ォー○ー○ロントにありそうなお店です。（中途半端に歯抜けにしなくても…）
土曜の19時過ぎは店内満席。メニューを見ながら10分ほど待って席に案内されました。
お店は窓口に行ってオーダーごとに支払うパブスタイル。レジの前には生地やトッピングを置いたスペースがあり、レジの奥には焼き窯も２台稼働中です。
今回はピザと合わせてシーザーサラダ、更にドリンクはアルコールの気分ではなかったのでレモネードを注文しました。
●ピッツァ ヴェルデベース（税込\1,640）
ピッツァはメニューから商品を選べますが、基本的にはベースのピッツァを選んで好きなトッピングを選んで作るスタイルです。
自分はバジルソースのベース生地に、チェリートマト、ルッコラ、そしてマッシュルームのバルサミコソテーというベジタリアンな組み合わせにしました。
生地は少し厚めながら、もっちりとしていて、しっかり焼かれてパリパリとした香ばしい生地です。
ただしこのパリパリの香ばしさにプラスして、打ち粉の粉もたっぷりとかかっているため、食べると高確率でむせます。
バジルの香りも効いて、チェリートマトとマッシュルームの旨味も複雑に加わりますが、むせます。
そのため、次のドリンクで喉を潤しながらいただきました。
知人はトマトソースにミートボールを乗せた、より食べごたえのある品ですが、同じくむせてました。
●スパークリングレモネード（税込\520）
炭酸が効いたレモネード。甘さは抑えめで、レモン果汁の香りが強かったです。
●シーザーサラダ（税込\880）
レタスに大きめのクルトン。そこにフレンチドレッシングとパルメザンを加えたシンプルなシーザーサラダです。
クルトンが大ぶりでカリカリなので食べごたえがありますが、これも喉で細かくなると、むせます。
そんな「ムセパレード」なので、もう１杯ドリンクをいただこう…としましたが、7時半でラストオーダーとのこと。
アルコールは事前連絡がありましたが、ソフトドリンクも同様みたいでした。
食べ終えてムセも抑えたところで、結局閉店近くまでゆっくりさせてもらいました。
新宿駅すぐ近くという立地もよく、過ごしやすいし料理の味も美味しいお店ですが、＋１杯ドリンクを頼むことをおすすめします。ごちそうさまでした。
