My business around noon dragged on, so I looked for a place to have lunch after 2 p.m. I thought there would be no restaurants open for lunch at that time, but then I found this restaurant that was open for lunch until 2:50 p.m. I was so grateful. I went down the stairs, pulled the switch of the old automatic door with a paper saying "Manual" and entered the restaurant, and found the interior to be quite luxurious. I ordered the daily special (fried pork, wood ear mushroom and egg set meal) for 800 yen. After me, two more groups of customers came in. Maybe it's a reassuring place for late-night lunch needs. However, it was empty, so I was served soon. In addition to rice and soup, it comes with a small (but authentic) mapo tofu and almond tofu. By the way, you can have one free refill of rice. The main stir-fry was more colorful than I imagined. What impressed me was the softness of the pork. It was fluffy, or maybe it was just squishy. It was a texture I had never experienced before. While paying, I asked the female waitress, "Where is that pork from?" I thought I was asking what part of the pig's body it was from, but instead she went to the kitchen to check and said, "The wholesaler is Sato-san." Hmm.
