Udon Shin and Fuunji, it's almost 2pm, so maybe I can wait a bit for one of them? I thought, but I was wrong. I turned around, afraid of the long line, because I wanted to eat some Noodles. I have to go somewhere before the lunch service ends. Then I saw a Chinese sign in front of me. It's a basement restaurant called "Kouki". It has an expensive name, but lunch is less than 1,000 yen. They have a Shanghai Yakisoba (stir-fried noodles) lunch menu. I decided. I order Shanghai Yakisoba (stir-fried noodles) no matter what, but this one is good too. It has a basic Chinese soy sauce seasoning, with thinly sliced meat and thick noodles. It would be better if it was a little more burnt. It's enough. I think white pepper goes best with Shanghai Yakisoba (stir-fried noodles), but there is no pepper on the table. That's a shame. It comes with mapo tofu, soup, and almond tofu. The almond tofu looks cheap, but it's not the type that has a lot of milk and cream these days, and it has a strong almond paste flavor. Even though it's on the outskirts of Shinjuku, 850 yen for this is cheap.
