ラチュレでランチを充分満足したが、後少し余韻が足りなかった。友人はボクの希望で、わざわざ新宿まで付き合ってくれた。もちろん、帰路の電車経路は、支障はない。
〆は以前店舗前を通り、昼から営業をしていた大衆居酒屋へ行こう。場所は新宿駅西口の、家電量販店の近くだった。
時計は3時を回っていたが、店内にはそこそこ客がいる。店員と目が合うと、2階に行くよう促された。
階段を上がり2階へ行くと、2階にもそこそこ客がいる。その多くは、ランチ利用で食事をしていた。
客が注文した料理を見るではなしに目にすると、そこそこボリュームある定食だ。営業マンの遅いランチだろうか、楽しんでいる客はスーツを着た若い男女ふたり客だった。
お腹は満たされているから、喫茶使いだ。ちょうどハッピーアワーをしているので、軽く摘んで軽く飲もう。
まずは、ともにハイボールで…乾杯!
ハイボールのウイスキーは角を使っていると言われたが、色がつく程度濃さで、さながら炭酸水のようだった。
お通しは“合鴨の和物”だった。
お通しとしては、楽しめる小皿料理だろう。
料理は、“鶏なんこつ唐揚げ”を注文した。この手の居酒屋としては、値段のわりにはボリュームはなく、貧弱な料理だったかと思う。
お替りはレモンサワー、友人は烏龍茶割とした。
レモンサワーは、レモン風味のジュース、烏龍茶割はただの烏龍茶のようだ。
少なくともハッピーアワーでこの内容なら、お得感はなく
、しかも全く楽しめなかった。
ランチタイムの定食利用なら、印象は違ったかも知れない。
友人とは終始、飲み物の印象で話が続いた。
それはそれで、会話が途切れず楽しめたと思う。
