映画を見終わってひとりランチ。どのテーブルも個室風になっていて、他の客のテーブルがちらっと見える程度。コロナ禍でもこのスタイルなら安心だ。ビールを飲みたいが、このあとにピアノリサイタル鑑賞が控えているので、隣の客が生ビールを飲んでいるのを羨ましく思いながら、水で我慢。
緊急事態宣言中で飲食店には酒類の提供をしないように要請が出ているが、あくまで要請であって、強制力はない。強制したい場合はきちんと国会で議論して法律を作ればいい。それが法治国家である。政治家の思いつきや言いたい放題に従わなければならないのであれば、もはや人治国家だ。生ビールを出すのはこの店の自由だと思う。
さて注文は多分一番人気だと思われる「焼肉定食（国産牛）」1,000円だと思うが、その下の「上和牛焼肉定食」1,500円が気になったのでこちらにすることにした。両方ともご飯、スープ、キムチ、ナムル、サラダがつく。
提供時間は14分。焼肉屋のランチはたいてい提供時間が早いものだが、こちらの店はそれなりの時間がかかるようだ。早速肉を焼く。肉はどの部位なのか不明だが、カルビみたいなものは少なく、ほぼロースみたいな感じだ。この価格で出せるのは、夜の営業で余った部位を使っているからだろう。余ったと言っても劣化している訳ではないから、客としてはいい肉を安くいただけるのだ。焼肉屋のランチはリーズナブルである。
網に油がついていないから、最初の肉は載せるのではなく網の上を滑らせる。肉の脂が網につくから、肉がくっつかない。2枚目以降は普通に乗せても前の肉の脂が網に残っているからくっつかない。こういう作業は楽しい。
肉そのものはまあまあだが、タレが意外に美味しい。ご飯はもちもちしているし、スープはそれなりの旨味がある。量が多くてワカメが沢山入っているのがいい。キムチはそれなりだが、揚げた肉団子みたいなのが美味しい。ナムルはもやしの他にコリコリした食感の、山クラゲと思しきものが入っている。この食感はやみつきになりそうだ。
全体的に満足のいくランチであった。肉だけでなくてスープのワカメで海藻を、キムチやナムルで野菜を取れた。食事としてのバランスはとてもいいと思う。次回は生ビールを飲むのだ。
