Ushigoro Group's top brand "S" is the best in meat quality, grilling, service, and drinks, and it is the best dining experience. I have been to other Ushigoro restaurants, but S is the best. I would like to give this restaurant a score of 5, but I will leave it as it is because of the future evolution of "S" and the possibility of other gastronomic delights yet to be discovered. I visited on a weekday evening with a reservation. USHIGORO S. SHINJUKU is the highest brand "S" of the Ushigoro Group, which will be launched in March 2022. It is located very close to Shinjuku Station. Ushigoro Shinjuku Sanchome is located on the 12th floor of the same building, and USHIGORO S. SHINJUKU is on the 11th floor. The interior of the restaurant is a refined and fashionable space with a completely private room. On this day, we made a reservation for the Q course for 22,000 yen. This includes drinks and a 10% service charge. Here is the lineup. ■Suppon and ginger consommé ■Zuwai crab and beef tartar with caviar ■Selected part (Uchimomo) and konbu hand roll ■Black truffle and pomelo Sukiyaki ■Six kinds of seasonal vegetables ■Extreme black tongue ■Selected halami ■Salad ■Mille-feuille sirloin sandwich with black truffle ■Grilled red meat (kuri-shabu) ■Selected part (ichibo) sauce Ichibo) sauce ■ Mouth freshener ■ Oyster and selected parts of rice in earthenware pot ■ Shaoxing wine ice cream ------------------- Wow, the contents were breathtaking. I have had courses priced at 20,000 yen at other restaurants, but the quality was so high that even at this price, I felt it was a good value for money. Of course, the staff grilled the food with full attendance, so we just ate and drank mindlessly. At first, the Shizuoka spoon and ginger consommé soup is a blissful way to warm up your stomach. The beautifully formed Hokkaido snow crab and wagyu beef tartare with caviar are plentiful. Each is delicious on its own. Taken together, the tartare was very elegant and luxuriously delicious. The most surprising dish was the hand roll of shinsin and konbu (kelp). Super delicious. The difference in texture between the tender meat, the Tempura konbu and the crispy nori seaweed was very pleasant. The unity of the flavors is very delicious. Everyone loves the black truffle and zabuton Sukiyaki. This is also found in many restaurants nowadays, but whether it is the difference in ingredients or the difference in grilling, it was exceptionally delicious. The black truffles are from Italy/Tuscany. The six seasonal vegetables are also extravagant and all delicious. The ultimate black tongue and the specially selected halami were the most impressive dishes of the day. It was a dish that really showed the importance of grilling. When you put the black tongue in your mouth, you feel a gentle crispy texture only on the surface, once you bite into it, the juices overflowed, and the meat inside was cooked to the perfect tenderness. It was the best. I still remember the feeling when I ate it. The special halami was also surprisingly delicious. I would definitely enjoy it with a glass of wine. The millefeuille sirloin sandwich, which they started recently. It is served with black truffle. In the regular version, a chunk of meat is sandwiched, but this is a layer of thinly sliced sirloin. I quite liked the smooth texture and melt-in-your-mouth quality of the thinly sliced meat. The flavor of freshly shaved black truffle is also delicious. After that, we had grilled chestnut shabu-shabu and grilled ichibo with sauce, both 44-month-old Omi beef, both with a very high quality flavor of meat. The last dish was the Hiroshima Prefecture Oyster earthenware pot rice. I am usually too full to finish my meal, but I was able to finish it deliciously without feeling heavy. The space is of high quality, the staff is polite and attentive, and it is a good restaurant for special occasions as well as for everyday use.
