うちの近所に「新宿牡蠣スター」ってお店がある。
オイスターの専門店で、牡蠣スターと書いてオイスターと読ませるのかなぁ…、と思って聞いたらまんま「カキスター」って読むんだそうな。
それはそれでオモシロい。
一戸建ての小さなビルをまるごと使ったお店で、できたのが６年ほど前。こんなところにオイスターバーができたよ…、ってタナカくんが見つけてきて、いつか行ってみようかっていいながら機会がなくて今日がはじめて。
ランチにしてみる。
カキフライもいいかなぁ…、と思うも「香ばし牡蠣の照り焼き丼」っていうのに惹かれてそれにしてみる。
牡蠣フライが１ピース４００円で追加できるというのだけれど、牡蠣フライの定食が５個付きで１２５０円。一個２５０円。しかもご飯や汁にサラダもついてくるというのに、単品メニューでなんでこの値段なんだろうと思うとなかなかたのめなくなる。わからない。
厨房の方から湿った音とおいしい匂いがやってくる。牡蠣を焼く音、焼ける匂いが収まってお待たせしましたと料理が到着。
丼にご飯を入れて上に牡蠣。てりやき色でつやつやとした牡蠣が７粒。ひとつひとつは少々小さめ。でもお腹が太ってプクッとしてて、なにより香りが一人前。
ご飯の上には刻み海苔がちらかって、厚焼き玉子と大葉の上にきゅうりのしそ漬け。あってほしいものがもれなくしっかり揃っているのにニッコリします。
牡蠣の焼き加減はなかなか上等。しっかり熱がはいっているけどみずみずしさは残ったままで、クチュっと潰れておいしいジュースがほとばしり出る。焦げたところは香ばしくご飯のお供にほどよいおいしさ。濃いめの味噌汁が牡蠣の照り焼きに負けぬおいしさ。サラダもほどよき分量でお腹もほどよく満ちました。
