代々木に行った際、ほぼ新宿のれん街なるエリアができていることを知り、後日来てみたいと思い、特に店を決めることなく17時過ぎごろブラブラとお店を探索。
ハシゴすることを視野に店選び。まずは美味しい牛タンでもつまみたいね、とこちらのお店に入店。予約の方が来るまでで良ければ、と言われ、サクッとハシゴのつもりなのでかえって好都合でした。
写真付きメニューの牛タン下ネギまみれにも惹かれましたが、お店の方はやはり厚切り牛タンが柔らかくておすすめとのことだったのでそれを頼み、焼き上がりまでのツマミは牛タン麻婆冷奴をチョイス。
冷奴は牛タンの歯触りを感じられるような形を想像していたのですが、完全にひき肉になっていて、味もしっかり付いているので牛タンの風味、食感は特に感じられず残念。
せっかくメニューが他にも豊富なのにサクッとにこだわり、性急にメニューを選び過ぎてしまったと反省、、笑
主役の厚切り牛タンは６切れの牛タンと青唐辛子味噌、白菜漬物付き。
しかし、、話していて撮り忘れ、、
地元に花咲牛タンと言うかなり厚切りで柔らかい牛タンを提供してくれる焼肉屋があるので、そこと柔らかさは比べてしまいますが、普通には美味しいです。
後から口コミを読んでみると、どうやら霜降り牛タンの方が美味しい模様。
牛タン刺しも食べてみたかったなぁ、、
それでも古民家風の落ち着く雰囲気の中で居心地よく過ごし、美味しく頂きました。
今回は若干のチョイスミス感もあったので、またほぼ新宿に来た際にはリベンジしてみようと思います。
